La Battaglia di Hacksaw Ridge trionfa ai Golden Reel Awards

Scelti i vincitori dell'edizione numero sessantaquattro dei Golden Reel Awards, i premi che di anno in anno sono assegnati dalla Motion Picture Sound Editors, ossia l’associazione dei montatori del suono di Hollywood. I due vincitori, i film che hanno vinto più premi, sono stati La Battaglia di Hacksaw Ridge, pellicola con protagonista Andrew Garfield e diretta da Mel Gibson, e La La Land, la commedia musicale di Damien Chazelle con Ryan Gosling ed Emma Stone. Il miglior montaggio della colonna sonora è quello di Warcraft: the Beginning  mentre il film targato Disney Oceania ha vinto quello per il montaggio del sonoro in un film d’animazione. Premiati anche i documentari: nella loro sezione il premio è andato a The Music of Strangers: Yo-Yo Ma and The Silk Road Ensemble. Per Guillermo del Toro l’MPSE Filmmaker Award, premio alla carriera per Wylie Stateman, Shannon McIntosh e Harry Cohen.
