Con un annuncio a sorpresa, l'Academy ha rivelato la lista dei 9 film stranieri semifinalisti per l'Oscar 2019. Dogman non c'è.
L'Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences ha rivelato, a sorpresa, i 9 film semifinalisti per la corsa agli Oscar 2019, in particolare per il premio come miglior film straniero. Peccato per l'Italia visto che Dogman, il film di Matteo Garrone, scelto come rappresentante del nostro paese agli Oscar, non è presente nella lista. Quest'annuncio intermedio non era mai stato dato gli anni passati, visto che si procedeva a gennaio con le nomination vere e proprio. Quest'anno c'è stata una scrematura intermedia, anche per quanto riguarda le altre categorie.
Oscar 2019, il miglior film straniero: i 9 semifinalisti
Ecco i 9 film scelti, che ricordiamo però non essere ancora quelli finali che si contenderanno la statuetta nella cerimonia ufficiale:

I film che erano stati resi elegibili erano ben 87. Le nomination saranno annunciate il 22 gennaio 2019 e la cerimonia sarà il 24 febbraio.
