Il 13 luglio sono state annunciate, a Los Angeles, le nomination per la 69esima edizione degli Emmy Awards che premiano le produzioni televisive e che avrà luogo il 16 settembre 2017. Tra i programmi più nominati ci sono Westworld di HBO e Saturday Night Live che si contendono ben 22 candidature. Non poteva mancare Stranger Things e anche un tocco di italianità, tra tante serie TV americane, conferito da Paolo Sorrentino con The Young Pope.
